Day 01

Upon arrival at Kuala Lumpur International Airport customs formalities and luggage collection. Welcome by the assigned driver- guide and transfer to the hotel. After check-in we will start a guided tour of the city of Kuala Lumpur. We will stop at the entrance to the new Royal Palace.
Malaysia consists of 13 states and 3 federal territories. Every 5 years a federal constitutional monarch is chosen and also a head of state for the country. We will visit Little India, Merdeka Square, where the annual Merdeka parade on National Day is held, commemorating the independence of Malaysia as a British colony since 1957. We will also stop to photograph the Petronas towers. The access to them must be booked in advance. The towers were the tallest buildings in the world between 1998 and 2003. In 2012 became the 7th place among the tallest buildings in the world, with a height of 452 meters with 88 floors of reinforced concrete, steel and glass.

Day 02

Breakfast at the hotel. Free time to stroll around the stunning shopping and entertainment centers which the city offers. Optionally, you can visit the Batik (traditional cloth) manufacturing center and Batu Caves, a hill of limestone that has a series of caves and temples, located 13 kilometers north of Kuala Lumpur.

Day 03

After breakfast at the hotel departure to Cameron Highlands. The journey will take about 3 1⁄2 hours. Visit to the BOH tea plantation (Best of Cameron Highland). The valley where the plantation is located is gorgeous and we can learn the entire process of making tea, watching the farmland, its factory and other facilities. Check- in at the Cameron Highlands Resort hotel. It is common to enjoy the afternoon tea with delicious sweets, according to the English tradition.

Day 04

Breakfast at the hotel. The more daring guest can go trekking in the early morning. We will visit other plantations of fruits and vegetables, such as tomatoes, cauliflower, cabbage, strawberries… The cold weather of the highlands offers the best conditions for all crops. The valley of the cactus is also a must. Free afternoon to wander around the place, full of real markets, and visit churches and buildings from the English colonization period.

Day 05

After early breakfast at the hotel departure to Penang To get to the island of Penang, we will cross one of the longest bridges in Southeast Asia, with 13.5 kilometers (8.4 miles), opened in 1985. On arrival, check-in at the Eastern and Oriental Hotel with strong British colonial style. In the afternoon, we can discover the city by tricycle with its historic mansions. The “blue mansion”, is definitely a must. It belonged to Cheong Fatt Tze, great Chinese businessman, commonly known as the Rockefeller of the East.

Día 06

After breakfast at the hotel transfer to the airport for the flight to Sandakan (via Kuala Lumpur). Upon arrival, transfer to Four Points Hotel in the city centre. Sandakan is the second largest town in Sabah and it is located on the east coast of the island and was the former capital of
the British North Borneo. The city is known as the gateway for ecotourism destinations in Sabah. Free time to explore the city.

Day 07

After breakfast at the hotel we will visit Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre, located 25 kilometers west of Sandakan. The centre opened in 1964 as the first official orangutan rehabilitation project for rescued orphaned baby orangutans from logging sites, plantations, illegal hunting or kept as pets. We will visit the centre during the early morning feeding time. After this spectacular activity we will cruise to the Lower Kinabatangan River Sanctuary for an hour and will have lunch at the Abai Jungle Restaurant. This is a wonderful journey of discovery which starts with the waters of Sulu Sea of Sandakan Town and goes through the magnificent scenery of the Mangrove Forest.
After Lunch, free time to relax and walk around before continuing our cruise searching for more wildlife until the sunset while enjoying a cup of coffee. At dusk we will continue the night cruise to witness the nature of the fire flies which resemble a Christmas tree.

Day 08

Early morning we will enjoy a river trip to Pitas to observe the wildlife and experience the unique of Pitas lake. After breakfast, there is an option to join our tree planting project with the locals and lunch with them at Abai Village. This project is specially designed to help the locals. After lunch, free time to relax before the afternoon cruise up river in search of primates especially the Endemic Proboscis Monkeys, birds and other wildlife.

Day 09

After breakfast at the hotel transfer to Sandakan airport for the flight to Kota Kinabalu. Upon arrival, transfer to the pier to catch a boat to Gaya Island and check in at selected hotel.Free time to relax on the beach.

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Sandakan by boat and then to the airport for the flight to Kuala Lumpur.
