A tour by the north, south and ancient Imperial Vietnam in the midlands of Hue and HoiAn. Two nights in Hanoi, one night in Halong Bay, two nights in Hue, two nights in Hoian and two nights in Saigon.
Upon arrival at the International Airport of Nobian in Hanoi (Vietnam) and customs procedures we will be welcomed by the assigned guide with private transfer to the hotel. After check-in at the hotel we will ride a typical tricycle across the old town (Old Quarter), as a first contact with town.
After breakfast at the hotel we will begin knowing this unique city, in which we will visit the Mausoleum of President Ho Chi Minh, Tran Quoc Pagoda (the most beautiful pagoda of the city) the National Museum of Ethnology and the Temple of Literature, the last being considered Vietnam’s oldest university, dating from 1070. There will be time to wander through the streets occupying the central area, nearby the Hoan Kiem lake.
After breakfast transfer to the coast (3h 30min by car) to enjoy one of the great wonders of the country, Halong Bay, a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, where we will take a boat (junk type) that will take us across the bay, visiting different islands and caves along the route. During the tour there will be different activities such as trekking or Tai-Chi while we enjoy the sunset, a boat trip to know the fishing village…

Breakfast on board. Latest visits and activities on board during the morning. After disembarking transfer back to Hanoi by road (3h 30min by car). Arrive in Hanoi and transfer to the airport for the departure flight to Hue. Upon arrival, transfer to the chosen hotel and check-in.
After breakfast at the hotel we will start the day having a boat trip along the Perfume River to reach the Pagoda Thiem Mu followed by a visit to the Imperial Palace, where we could deepen our knowledge about the last feudal dynasty of Vietnam. Free time to visit Dong Ba market.
After breakfast at the hotel we will depart by road to the south. On route we will visit the tomb of King Thu Duc. Upon arrival in Danang we will proceed to Hoain with a stop to visit the famous Marble Mountains and different craft centers. Arrive in Hoian and check-in at hotel to rest.
In the morning, we will travel to the Myson Valley, to know the set of Hindu temples, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. In the afternoon, we will take a walking tour through the narrow and picturesque streets of Hoian, to the beautiful Japanese wooden bridge. Free time to enjoy the surroundings and the beach.
Early in the morning, transfer to Danang airport, from where we will take a flight to Ho Chi Minh. On arrival, we will leave for Cuchi, to know the network of tunnels. There we will have the opportunity to chat with a veteran of the Vietcong who will show us the subterranean passages, way of communication and refuge during the war. Transfer to the city center for accommodation. In the afternoon, we will visit Saigon, visiting the most important places of the historic city: the Reunification Hall (formerly the Presidential Palace), the Ben Thanh Market, the Notre Dame Cathedral and the famous post office building.
Day 09 (Mango Cruise)
Early departure to Bentre, in the Mekong Delta. It will take 1 ½ hour to enter this southern province of Vietnam. We will take a motorway and leave the traffic of the city to reach a rural area. We will take a motorcycle type vehicle and pass through rice fields and fruits. In the Mekong Delta is produced 80% of the food consumed throughout the country. We will embark on a boat to explore the beautiful scenery of the delta from the water. We will make different visits. At the first stop we will learn the coconut process and different utilities. We will visit a brick factory, where locals use ancestral techniques. We will take a bike ride through the village of Phong Nam, about 4 kilometers, through beautiful gardens. We will stop at a rice noodles factory, an ingredient so popular in Vietnamese food. We will stop at a local fisherman’s house. We will taste fruit from the area before taking a small rowboat to cross narrow channels of the Mekong River. Lunch included with view of the river. After lunch, we will continue by bike for 4 minutes, or walk (7-10 minutes) to another house of a Vietcong lord who survived the two-year war in Phnom Penh against Cambodian Khmer Rouge. The experience of knowing this veteran of war is always enriching. Return to Saigon by road, about two hours.
